The Journey of Sumitri Das

Sumitri Das, a young woman from Wadala, Mumbai, exemplifies resilience and determination. After her father left, Sumitri, her mother, and elder sister moved to Mumbai, facing financial hardship. Despite completing her HSC in the Arts stream, Sumitri's dream of higher education seemed unattainable due to financial constraints. However, she persevered, seeking alternative opportunities, and eventually enrolled in the Tech Mahindra SMART Centre program.

The SMART Centre equipped Sumitri with critical skills, including ITES-BPO training and soft skills development. She secured a job as a Customer Executive at Better Loan Solutions Company, providing financial stability for her family. This role also brought her closer to her ultimate goal of becoming a fashion designer. Sumitri's journey highlights the power of education, resilience, and support in transforming lives. She continues to work towards realizing her dream, inspired by her own motto: "A good education can change anyone."
